‘The Unchosen Ones’ exhibit at Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art
After years of planning, The Unchosen Ones is on exhibition at the Bone Creek Museum of Agrarian Art (David City, NE) until October 31, 2026. Special thanks to Amanda Mobley-Guenther, Gabrielle Comte, Sarah Juranek, and volunteers who made this exhibition possible.
This exhibit featured four new works acquired by the museum, too! Thank you to collectors who made these gifts possible including Anna Nolan, Allen Covault, Mariette Pathy Allen, and Michael and Lauren Lee, in additional to programming grants by the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
Finally, the exhibition features the additional of four photographs taken at the Butler County Fairgrounds in June 2026. Thank you to those students from Butler and Colfax County 4-H to bring their show animals including sheep, ducks, a goat, and a rabbit.

The Unchosen Ones touring exhibition at Bone Creek Agrarian Art Museum (David City, NE) running Sept 12 - October 31, 2026. New acquired work from the series included Kol and Annabelle, Anoka County Fair, 2016 (left) and Kol and Annabelle, Anoka County, 2020 (right) supported by Anna Nolan, Allen Covault, and Michael and Lauren Lee.
The exhibit include photographs of Nebraska Youth including (from left to right) “Kate with Hero and Oreo, Butler County Fairgrounds, Nebraska, 2026” and “Allison and Henry with Aspen and Ace, Butler County Fairgrounds, Nebraska, 2026.”
The lobby featured silver gelatin prints from tintypes from the series, as well as a 1902 Kodak No. 2 view camera used to create the work (8 × 10 inch) as well as prints available to support the museum for sale.
