Five Guggenheim rejections later (art, like life, has its own timing), Iโ€™m thrilled to share that Iโ€™ve been named one of the inaugural artists for the 2025-2026 Lakewood Cemetery Artist Residencyโ€”my first residency, steps from my Minneapolis home. Since 2012, my work has wrestled with themes of place, memory, and belonging. Now, Iโ€™ll create Ethereal Echoesโ€”a meditation on impermanence and rebirthโ€”where loved ones rest, using Chromoskedasic alchemy to transform silver gelatin prints into ghostly, mirror-like relics. Light, chemistry, and chance will collaborate to echo Buddhist teachings and the cemeteryโ€™s quiet narratives.

Meet the cohort and hear about our projects at the free Welcome Reception: May 15, 6 - 8:30PM.
