Welcome to the Project Website: Ethereal Echoes
I create photographs without a camera, using fire, chemicals, and light-sensitive paper to explore how chance shapes form. Each piece begins with a barrier—melted, brushed, or dripped—then exposed to sunlight or flame. Chemicals seep into the cracks, leaving behind marks that echo wind, memory, or horizon.
My process balances control and surrender. In one series, I used materials gathered from a cemetery—ivy ash, pollen stains, pine boards from old funeral biers. Frames made from reclaimed wood connect each image to place and time.
Photography, for me, is transformation. Light alters paper. Chemistry leaves scars. Beauty lives in the collision between precision and accident.
